I am a 5th Generation Floridian growing up 25 miles west of Ocala on what I call a "poor man's farm". My Grandpa was a retired Game Warden and planted row crops - peanuts, watermelons, corn, etc. for income. He had a herd of cows and Daddy made sure I always had a horse to ride. It was a wonderful life - I started working on Thoroughbred horse farms in the summers when I was 15, tried college when I graduated but within a year I was back at Farnsworth Farms with the horses. Years later I worked for an advertising agency and started having requests to photograph Thoroughbreds for advertising purposes. It was fun and I have been blessed. I LOVE this part of Florida - it has a lot to offer!
