My name is Joseph Lugones, founder of Rooted Estates Group, operating under the eXp Land & Ranch Division. I specialize in lifestyle properties: land, equestrian estates, working homesteads, mini farms, and rural homes with acreage. If it’s zoned A-1, AGR, or anything that lets you raise animals, grow food, or build a legacy then that’s my lane.

I serve the greater Ocala area, including Marion, Levy, Citrus, and surrounding counties. Whether you’re buying your first slice of land or selling a multi-million-dollar ranch, my job is to guide you with clarity, no fluff, and zero guesswork.

My background isn’t typical for real estate. I come from aviation and logistics, working directly with ultra-high-net-worth individuals to coordinate high-stakes travel and complex operations. Before that, I served in the U.S. Marines where I learned that trust is earned, systems matter, and communication should always be straight-up. That experience makes me comfortable navigating transactions at any scale, while staying grounded and reliable in how I work with everyone: from first-time buyers to legacy sellers.

I’ve lived in Ocala for the past five years, raising my family on a 7.5-acre homestead that we’ve built from the ground up. Chickens, goats, gardens, solar; we’re living the lifestyle I help others create. I host farm tours, teach sustainability workshops through our nonprofit arm (Homesteading International), and use my own land as a teaching ground for what’s possible.
